It’s Spring Break and Connor and I are having a blast!!

This morning we made playdough for the first time and I highly recommend it.  It is quick, easy and inexpensive!!

This is the recipe I used:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 package kool-aid
  • 1 cup boiling water

Mix dry ingredients.  Then add oil and water.  Mix and knead together until dough forms.

The kool-aid gives it the color and makes it smell good.  We made three different batches.

Here’s the fun part:
We put the playdough in Easter eggs!

I took my hot glue gun and filled the tiny holes in the Easter eggs so the playdough won’t dry out.  Then we filled 12 eggs with small amounts of playdough.

This way we only play with a few eggs at a time which means we won’t make a huge mess.

The best part is I can keep a few eggs in the diaper bag or my purse for when we go places.  I can quickly pull out the eggs and Connor has the perfect amount of playdough to play with.
